| About Us - Since 1998 |
In 1998, Chris Sparks was searching for a web design firm to create his official web site, ChrisSparks.com, to market his first CD. He was frustrated with the the pricing, quality and business knowledge of the firms he found. So, he taught himself web design and graphics. Once he had created his site, he needed to find places to advertise it. All of the major web portals required tens of thousands of dollars for true exposure while the few western sites were unprofessional, outdated and still overpriced. So, he decided to launch his own network of sites that would promote the western way of life and allow companies in this target market to promote their products for a reasonable price. This network is eCowboy.com. eCowboy.com the network of over 450 sites created by Chris Sparks' family company, The Sparks Group.Our Goal is to provide users with all the information they need about rodeo, horses, the old west and the western way of life. Rodeo Guides - These guides provide everything people need to know about each rodeo event whether that be participating or watching. We will be adding more detailed information to these in 2004. Country Music - We have a comprehensive country music section that profiles all of the current major artists with links to their official sites. Western Life Directory - Our new western life directory will list everything you need to know about the western way of life including apparel, art, collectibles, food, furnishings, gifts, events, horses, movies, music, night life, the old west, real estate, rodeo and travel. Each item has a full profile, photo and link to the official web site for more information. Product Reviews - In 2004, we will start reviewing products to create our editor's choice awards. Contests & Giveaways - In 2004, we will start having monthly contests and giveaways. FREE Affinity Email - People like to have an email address that fits them. So, we offer free email at almost every site in our network. Bulletin Board & Chat - Your email username also gets you into our email and chat. All of the bulletin boards of our sites are interconnected so one username gets you into all of the sites. Search Engine - Our search engine allows you to search the web for anything we might have missed. It also strives to block out all inappropriate content as much as possible. OUTSIDE THE WESTERN WORLD Cowboys and Cowgirls come from all walks of life. So, we also provide other information to make the page more of a one-stop shop. Industry News, Events & Company Information - Our partner, BusinessMVP.com, provides us with news, events and company information from all major industries. Careers - Our partner, CareerMVP.com, provides us with job openings, career advice, industry career information, major employer profiles and anything else to help you find your ultimate career. |
