BULLNANZA-Oklahoma City Results are in

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 7, 2004) - Stop 23 on the Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) presented by Wrangler concluded tonight from Oklahoma City's Ford Center. Australian sensation and PBR stand out Brendon Clark captured the event title and $31,520 after achieving a blistering 91 point score in the second go round aboard Salt River Rodeo Bulls' Midnight Confessions. Final round competition represented a literal showdown of man against beast as one by one the bulls settled the score in their favor, 15 to 2. Ultimately it was again Clark who tamed the competition during the finals with 92 championship points earned aboard Herrington Cattle Company's notorious Blueberry Wine. In some tense moments during final round action, PBR powerhouse and current PBR world standings leader, Adriano Moraes (Cachoeira Pualista, Sao Paulo Brazil), suffered a broken jaw and cheek bone as the result of a close encounter with Klein and Sons Bucking Bulls' Smokeless Wardance. Moraes will reportedly continue to compete despite the injury in his quest for an unprecedented third PBR world championship. Moraes leads his closest challenger, Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.), by 1,569.5 points.

Clark, who burst onto the PBR scene in 2003, has outgrown any rookie jitters that may have plagued him last season. The Oklahoma City BFTS event represents the first tour title of Clark's young career. "This being the first one (BFTS event title) really confirmed for me that all the hard work is worth it," explained Clark.

Of his 92 point effort aboard Herrington Cattle Company's Blueberry Wine in the final round Clark stated, "Obviously I have seen the bull a lot and he ended up riding exactly how I thought he would after what I had seen him do. At this level you should consistently ride a bull of that caliber and fortunately I was able to do that tonight."

As selected by the event judges, the top bull honors were awarded to Loe and Williams' bull Pandora's Box, while second place went to Crossfire Hurricane owned by Page and Teague Bucking Bulls.
