The Professional Bull Riders present the First Annual Mutton Bustin' Championship at Mandalay Bay COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 9, 2004) - The 2004 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Built Ford Tough World Finals is bigger and better than ever in 2004. The expanded dates of world-class bull riding competition are not the only aspect that will be bigger and better this year. The PBR has designed a number of supplementary events to cater to the greatest fans in the world such as the first annual Mutton Bustin' Championship sponsored by Wrangler. The Mutton Bustin' World Championship will take place daily as a part of the Wrangler University schedule of activities. The exclusive 380,000 square foot PBR Fan Zone and Marketplace located in the lavish Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino houses all such interactive features. For those unfamiliar with the Mutton Bustin' event, you have to see it first hand to appreciate it. Kids between the ages of four and six and 50 pounds or lighter are eligible to compete. Each contestant is judged upon the skill demonstrated as they attempt to stay aboard the sheep for the required six seconds. Kids are outfitted with protective head gear and will receive assistance from event organizers as well as the one parent that is allowed to accompany them. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers. Fifteen children will compete in this exciting event each day. There are a host of activities planned to take place in Wrangler University daily which range from Mutton Bustin', to calf scrambles, and even a bull riding seminar. The PBR Fan Zone and Marketplace, which opens its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from Friday, October 22nd through Saturday, October 30th, boasts a multi-million dollar production budget enabling fans to enjoy many new attractions. The PBR Marketplace located in the Fan Zone will feature over 250 vendors and offer an amazing shopping experience with retail goods ranging from boots, jeans, and jewelry to home décor.
