PBR Announces Top Entertainers Appearing at the 2004 Built Ford Tough Series World Finals

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 31, 2004) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is excited to announce that a star-studded entertainment line-up has been confirmed for the final weekend of the 2004 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals extravaganza, which takes place October 22nd through October 31st in Las Vegas, Nev. The Built Ford Tough World Finals promises eleven thrilling days in Las Vegas with entertainment and a wide range of activities catering to every taste.

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino hosts world renowned blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd who takes the stage on Friday, October 29th at 10:00 p.m., to be followed the subsequent evening by country artist Tracy Byrd who plays on Saturday, October 30th, also at 10:00 p.m. The weekend festivities culminate with a concert event courtesy of Grammy Award winning bluegrass vocalist and instrumentalist Alison Krauss, whose highly anticipated performance takes place during the PBR Awards Banquet on Sunday, October 31st at 5:00 p.m. All performances are hosted by the luxurious Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and tickets can be purchased directly through the Mandalay Box Office. Three talented country bands are also scheduled to kick off the first weekend of the PBR 2004 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. Beginning on Friday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 24th the PBR proudly presents Sugar Hill Record's Reckless Kelly, Universal South's Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Blue Hat Record's legendary Charlie Daniels Band. In addition to the star-packed concert series detailed below and the greatest 45 bull riders on the planet, the PBR has organized unique events ranging from the inaugural World Bullfighting Championships and Bucking Bull Classic to the official nightly after event parties that rock with live entertainment and immediately follow each performance of the World Finals. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who is appearing in support of the October 5th release of his long awaited Reprise Records album, The Place You're In, is one of the most acclaimed artists of his generation whose original and multi-faceted music explores both the rock and roll and blues genres to create a unique style with widespread appeal. Shepherd gained notoriety early in his career after recording his first album, Ledbetter Heights, while still in high school. The PBR proudly welcomes the tall, dark and handsome Texas native, Tracy Byrd, to the PBR After-Event Party stage on October 30th. Byrd's recently released album, The Truth About Men, promises to excite PBR party-goers with tunes like "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo," and "Drinking Bone" crank up the tempo. The title track from Byrd's third album on RCA, "The Truth About Men," is a hit already. Tickets for this show are $27.50 and available now.

Alison Krauss, who launched her first album at the tender age of 16, has released nine studio albums with her long time band of highly acclaimed collaborators, Union Station, all on Rounder Records. Appearing in support of her most recent release, Live, with Union Station, Krauss will undoubtedly deliver the musical and vocal talent that has earned her 17 Grammy Awards to date, as well as multiple Country Music Association Awards, and International Bluegrass Music Awards in addition to countless others. Her album releases have been critical and commercial successes, with multiple RIAA platinum and gold certified records. Krauss is also a respected record producer and has contributed both her instrumental and vocal flair on projects representing every musical genre from pop to country, and even classical and jazz.
