Kids Day in Nacogdoches The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services teamed up to deliver the message of eating smart and playing hard March 25 at Kids Day in conjunction with the Nacogdoches (Texas) Pro Rodeo and Steer Show. The partnership that began in 10 states in 2003 extended into Texas this year, and Nacogdoches was the first Texas city chosen to play host to the program. Students had the opportunity to learn about proper diet and nutrition as well as various rodeo events and some of the contestants who compete in them. SOURCE: PRCA |
