Champs headline big Tour movers at Rodeo Austin AUSTIN, Texas – Looking at the winner's circle at Rodeo Austin on March 27 might have had spectators wondering if they instead were watching from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas following the final round of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Champions, past and present, headlined the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour round and aggregate winners at Rodeo Austin. Two-time world bull riding champion Blue Stone of Ogden, Utah, topped the list by grabbing all 32.5 of his Wrangler Tour points with his performance in Austin, which included the aggregate title. He's ranked eighth in the Tour's bull riding standings with five events remaining in the winter series. Rodeo Austin was the seventh of 10 chances for cowboys and cowgirls to earn Wrangler Tour points in hopes of qualifying for the Pace Picante ProRodeo Chuteout, May 13-15 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Only the top 12 contestants in each event's Tour standings following the 12th and final Tour stop in Guymon, Okla., on May 2 qualify for the Chute-out. Austin's Wrangler Tour round will be televised on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) on April 25 at 7 p.m. ET. Seven-time and reigning world team roping champions Speed Williams of Amarillo, Texas, and Rich Skelton of Llano, Texas, earned their first 31 Wrangler Tour points of the season – highlighted by the aggregate title – and jumped into a ninth-place tie in their respective event's Tour standings. Reigning and six-time world saddle bronc riding champion Dan Mortensen of Billings, Mont., tied for the Tour-round victory and claimed the aggregate title, good for 26.5 points. He solidified his chances at reaching the Pace Chute-out, moving up one spot to second place. Two-time and reigning all-around champion Trevor Brazile of Decatur, Texas, moved into 10th place in the Tour's tie-down roping standings after winning the Tour round and earning 19.5 points.
