Charlie Daniels among award finalists.

Country music legend Charlie Daniels, who also serves on the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund (JCCF) Board of Directors, is one of three nominees for The Home Depot Humanitarian Award.

The fan-voted award recognizes a country music artist or group for community service, a generosity of spirit and helping build the dreams of those in need.

Voting is taking place online at www.homedepot.com and continues through the first two hours (8-10 p.m. ET) of the live CBS telecast of the 2004 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 26. At 10 p.m. ET, online voting closes, and the Humanitarian Award winner will be announced and presented with the award during the program's final hour. Martina McBride and Brad Paisley are the other finalists.

Daniels, whose career has spanned nearly six decades, has raised millions of dollars for thousands of charity organizations and has donated his time and talents.
